Radio Station Logos

Hi everyone,

I took delivery of my ID7 a few weeks ago and it's fantastic in every way.

My one issue is the lack of DAB station logos.

I have downloaded them from the web onto a flash (not in a sub folder) however when I go into the Manage Station Logos setting on the infotainment I can't see how to add the logos from there.

Apologies if it's been covered before, I did do a search. If it has, please direct me to the relevant thread!

As far as I know, the downloadable logos aren't for DAB on the ID series. Certainly you can't add new ones on the Skoda MEB based models.

Don’t you have any logos displayed at all or just some?

Some are displayed. BBC stations, for example

If this is like any other VAG car you can update the radio logo database. I've just updated the one on my MK4 Skoda.

Not got my id.7 yet but have a look in settings to see if you can see the version it's got currently.

I think they're only for FM stations on the MEB models. DAB and Internet radio download from the station itself I believe? Certainly nobody on the Enyaq forums has managed to update DAB logos in the last 4 years that's I've been on there (and it's the same radio software on all VW/Skoda/Cupra/Ford cars that use the MEB platform. Audi Q4 might be different).

Link above is definitely for the DAB as it updated mine (not just for FM). The MQB3/MQB3.5 media systems have a database that is used to apply the station logo. It's not downloaded from the DAB signal on VAG cars. You need the entry in the database.

You can update dB based on files from above link if there is one for your device part/hardware. Just don't know if it is available for ID.7.

Users have been able to update other VW cars from the download i.e. latest Golf. Plus my current Skoda etc

P.s. I believe VAG charge radio stations to add their logo to the car dB. Which is why most are blank.

Yeah, I think it's that it's maybe just not set up for the MEB based cars for some reason. Though it does mention it in the ID.7 manual (and also the Skoda Enyaq one) - it's a bit of a cagey statement which doesn't really say 'this is a real thing that people can do'. Just a vague reference to 'some wavebands'.

Worth checking the download for you part and version for the Enyaq.

I updated mine on Skoda Octavia 2023 model the other day and it added loads more DAB logos. Just not the ones I listen too .

My hardware info is in picture and it's an MQB model but someone has stuck an Enyaq screen in one so you would think software on info system is the same
