I ordered end November 2024 with a delivery date of mid-March 2025 but then was told it would be June. Just now I am told it is waiting at the docks to be shipped to UK with hopeful delivery before end of the month!
You never know!

Ordered my Pro s Tourer in September - originally stated delivery in January, then Feb, then end of March - It arrived on the 12th! Hurrah and very happy with it. Great car.

This is encouraging in that these are not too far off the 16 week estimate VW are saying at the moment for new cars. One advantage of the ID.7 is that it's built at the Emden factory, which is literally next door to the dock where the car transporter ship leaves from. So there's no huge delay getting it from the factory to the port (other than the massive carparks full of cars waiting for transportation).

Ordered mine start of Dec. Mine was built last week. Just waiting for delivery. Don't think I'll get it before 1st April so won't avoid the lux car tax

Hi Everyone

My first post, I found this forum by asking Google about Id.7 delivery issues. Mine was ordered on the company salary sacrifice scheme, it's a Match Pro (saloon) with Int+/Ext+Pan and I placed the order in November. I first received notification that it would be delivered in March, but in February I was informed that it was to be April, but no specifics. I have also got a free home charger as part of the deal but despite my many emails to the broker, I cannot find out how to go about receiving either a firm delivery date or how I get my charger.

Is the panoramic roof still holding up deliveries does anyone know, are these things starting to get delivered? I've yet to see one on the road. I can't get anywhere with the broker, I've asked for details of the dealer but they wont tell me, only that they've passed my messages on. Can I demand details of the dealer to talk to them directly?

So many questions....and my Volvo XC60 ICE went back today so I'm without a car.

November to April is still 4-5 months (depending if it's the beginning or end of each month), which is broadly in line with what others have posted on here. I know the expected time was more like 3-4 months last year, but I'm guessing that as the ID.7 has become very popular (particularly in Germany), then the queue for actual build keeps getting longer. Also I suspect right hand drive ones will be pushed down the list until it's worthwhile switching the line to just that type for a run.

I think for the charger you'll have to speak to your lease company, I know that people where I work have had installation arranged via the salary sacrifice lease company, rather than direct with a Volkswagen dealer.

Ordered mine through salary sacrifice scheme (Zenith) at the start of October24. Just had build week confirmed by dealership as 14th April, so expecting delivery around end of May.
I asked the dealership that contacted me to confirm the spec (VW Leeds) regarding the free charger. I only noticed VW offered it on the web site and thought I would chance my luck. A couple of weeks later, I recieved a link and after entering details I got the below message. Will be getting back intouch with them at the end of April to chase it up.

We've partnered with Vertu Volkswagen (Leeds) to get you set up with an Ohme EV charger at an exclusive discounted price. We're placing your installation on hold due to your car's delivery date and anticipated complete build production status.

The installation must take place within a month before the vehicle delivery or up to 3 months after vehicle delivery. Please get in touch if you believe your car is coming sooner.

Worth noting, they actually say it's free if they don't have to modify anything. Luckily I work for an electrical company, so can make sure its literally just a case of sticking the box on the wall.
They would generally come and try and pick up every little technicality to charge for items, so even if they say it's free it rarley is. Unless you can supply them with a fully signed off install before they come. Below is supposed to be free.
Standard installations
Every home is different. However, we’ve worked to provide a standard installation package that covers over 80% of our installations.

A standard installation includes:

Installation of the Ohme charger onto a suitable permanent structure, such as a brick or plaster wall.
Up to 15 metres of cable to connect the Ohme charger to the distribution board/electric meter.
A cable run through existing building voids or clipped directly to the wall, taking the shortest route possible and passing through no more than one wall.
6m of trunking provided.
Associated protection devices to protect the charger and cable.
Ensuring the Ohme charger is working properly and providing all of the necessary certification paperwork.
